About Sunderland U3A
What we do
We provide an opportunity, for those no longer in full-time employment living in or around the Sunderland area, to share enthusiasms and experiences with like-minded people, for life-long learning, to make new friends & to become re-acquainted with old ones.
We have a General Meeting on the third Wednesday of every month at 1.30 for 2.00pm:

The venue is fully accessible and there is plenty of both on & off street parking; it is within 10 minutes walking distance of the Metro (Seaburn station) and there is a bus stop directly outside, served by buses number 23, 24 & E6 (Sunderland) and E6 (South Shields).
Membership & Meetings
Although all members, together with any visitors they may bring (see below), are welcome to attend these meetings, attendance is not obligatory to maintain membership.
At these meetings there is there is an interesting speakers programme (for information about forthcoming speakers see ”What’s on”) as well as an opportunity to find out what is happening in the various groups (see below) in the following weeks and to sign up for any of the events. If you cannot attend the Wednesday meeting, then contact the relevant group leader.
Visitors to the general meetings are welcome. However we ask that after a maximum of three visits membership is taken out.
